The web site is interactive, which means you can chat, play games, go on scavenger hunts, care for your virtual Beanie Baby and more.
The interactive 2.0 Beanie Babies were developed to compete with the interactive Webkinz. The Webkinz Cheeky dog now sells for about $600, Cheeky cat sells for about $200 and Love Puppy sells for about $100.
The first 13 2.0 Beanies are referred to as the "Original 13." Just like the first 9 Beanies produced were called the "Original 9."
We think the value will hold up very well for the 2.0 Beanie Babies because retailers can only order 72 of each style a month. Unlike the original Beanie Babies, which retailers could order as many of as they wanted to. It is basically supply and demand. A small supply and a large demand means higher prices. We will have to wait and see what happens.
